MY WORK

The method that I use to for any design or work that I'm creating whether it be for a client or personal project, is to approach it as a solution to a problem. I have adopted the a philosophy spoken by an old professor of mine that I not only apply to design but to my everyday life as well. He said "Listen deeply and think quickly," meaning that to identify the problem we must first maneuver through the noise surrounding it so that we can find the best solution. I also believe to produce the best work possible it takes diligence in the research phase of the creative process. If you develop a deep understanding of what the problem is and more importantly the people that are effected by it, the better your understanding will be for whats the right solution.

While keeping this in mind, my creative process involves sprints of ordered chaos. This stands for both client work and personal work because the chaos is where I allow my imagination to reach as far as possible for what could be a creative solution. In doing this, I create a wide spectrum to work where I can see what things need to pull back and what things I push further. That is where the order to my chaos comes into play and its helped me see past the quick fixes that can are often temporary to solutions that can make lasting impacts. I'm always more than willing to learn new ways of thinking and methods to help better my work, but the ordered chaos is foundation for me.
